About SPS
The Scandinavian Physiological Society was founded in 1925, and is a society for researchers in physiology and related sciences in the Nordic countries; Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. The Society's objectives are to promote research and the interest of physiological sciences in its member countries.
The Society is a non-profit organisation devoted to fostering education, scientific research, and dissemination of information in the physiological sciences.

Meetings
The Scandinavian Physiological Society arranges annual or bi-annual meetings. The programs for these meetings are sent to members and published on these pages. Starting in 1926 and 1928, congresses were arranged every third year (except during the 1939-45 war) until 1988.
Acta Physiologica International Symposia are sponsored by the Scandinavian Physiological Society. Suggestions for Symposia are sent to the Secretary General.
