Short listed guidelines for Abstract format It is very important that the abstracts are proof read carefully. - The abstracts should be limited to 1800 characters including spaces, approximately 250 words.
- Abstract title should be typed in bold, lower-case letters, not capitals.
- Author names should be printed in capitals
- Abstracts should include:
- A study objective unless this is given by the title - A brief statement of methods - A summary of the result, including essential data with scatter - The conclusions - All abbreviations should be spelled out the first time they appear in the text.
- When referring to a commercial product, please provide the name and country of the company
- Use generic names for drugs
- If references are given, they should be listed in alphabetical order, following the style of Acta Physiologica, except that the title of the reference should be omitted (e.g. Ason, A.B., Beson, C. & Deson, D. 2001. Acta Physiologica 196, 37-43. A maximum of three references should be given. In the text, the references should appear as Ason et al. 2001 in case of more than two authors and as Ason & Beson 2001 in case of two authors
