Meetings and Symposia

Meetings
The Scandinavian Physiological Society arranges annual or bi-annual meetings. The program for these meetings are sent to members and published on these pages.
Starting in 1926 and 1928, congresses were arranged every third year (except during the 1939-45 war) until 1988.

Symposia
Acta Physiologica International Symposia are sponsored by the Scandinavian Physiological Society. Suggestions for Symposia are sent to the Secretary General.
These symposia bring together outstanding foreign specialists and leading Nordic physiologists. Young researches are encouraged to participate.
The aim of the symposia are (at least) three-fold: To stimulate and enrich research at our own institutions, to familiarize the international "top ten" with the Nordic contributions within their field, and to foster cooperation between international and Nordic physiology.

The symposia presentations are published as regular articles in Acta Physiologica.
