Young Investigator Award

In order to recognize outstanding contributions of promising young investigators, to encourage young scientists in continuing their research in physiology, and to promote high quality oral and poster presentations we will at our annual meetings arrange Young Investigator Award competitions for best oral presentation and best poster presentation. The winners will be rewarded financially.

Young Investigator Awards for oral presentations

A special session of oral communication will be allocated to young scientists. There will be put together a scientific committee of the meeting that will judge the presentations and select the three most deserving investigators, who will be rewarded with SEK 5000, 3000 and 2000, respectively.

Young Investigator Award for poster presentation

In addition, an award of SEK 4000 will be given to the young investigator responsible for the best and most appealing poster presentation.

To be eligible for the award, the investigator must be below the age of 35 years on the date of the meeting, and she/he must be both the first author and the presenting author. The evaluation will be based on excellence of the research, clarity in presentation, and personal knowledge revealed by discussions linked to the presentations. The award winners will receive public recognition for their achievements at the conference dinner. The names of the winners will also be posted on our web site and in the SPS newsletter.
